Welcome to The Ripple Effect Project, where one conversation can create a ripple that reaches far beyond us. Each week, we sit down with people who are making a difference in their communities, their organizations, and the lives of others. Because sometimes, all it takes is one conversation to start something bigger.
This week, the conversation features Tityana Clements, Founder and Executive Director of TNT Empowerment Network, a Milwaukee-based nonprofit working to help individuals and families move from crisis toward stability, support, and empowerment.
What happens when we recognize that a family may not need long-term assistance, but simply needs someone to step in at the right moment? How can one safe night, a connection to the right resource, help preparing for a job, or a simple act of support change the direction of someone’s life?
Through TNT Empowerment Network, Tityana and her team provide community programs, emergency support, job-readiness resources, family-centered workshops, youth activities, essential items, and the TNT Safe Nights Initiative, which helps individuals and families experiencing a crisis access short-term emergency hotel stays.
Tityana brings a grassroots perspective to the conversation, sharing what it takes to build a nonprofit while responding directly to the real and often immediate needs of a community. We’ll explore housing insecurity, unemployment, family challenges, the importance of safe community spaces, and why accessible and respectful support can make such a difference.
This conversation is about more than responding to crisis. It’s about building stronger families, empowering future leaders, creating meaningful connections, and working toward a community where people can find the support and opportunities they need to thrive.
